Who is behind this site?
Mambo Dogs team is the collective byline for this website. Mambo also sells dog bowls. We do not currently present a named veterinarian as our reviewer, and we do not claim that an article is medically reviewed unless an identified professional has actually reviewed it.
What makes a useful article?
A useful article answers a real decision: what to notice, what to do next, what the alternatives are and where the answer stops being certain. We aim for specific examples and clear explanations, not a longer version of the same advice. We distinguish published breed standards, estimates and editorial opinions.
Sources and review
Our existing library is undergoing editorial review. A page marked “Editorial review pending” has not completed that process. Publication requires documented sources, an editor and a review date, as well as automated checks. Breed profiles and sensitive health or food-safety topics also require an identified medical reviewer. Breed topic pages remain outside our sitemap until they receive their own review.
How we use AI
We use AI to help draft, organise and revise content. Pages labelled “Sources checked with AI assistance” have received an AI-assisted source review, not independent human or veterinary review. AI output is not evidence, and a similarity score is not proof of originality or accuracy. Our automated check compares pages within this website; it does not check the entire internet. We do not turn AI-generated anecdotes into supposed customer stories or claim first-hand testing that did not happen.
Our original breed portraits
The coordinated portraits on this site were created for Mambo Dogs using AI image generation. They are illustrations, not photographs of real customer dogs. Coat, colour and appearance vary within a breed, and generated artwork may not reproduce every breed-standard detail.
Calculators and breed scores
Calculator results are estimates based on the assumptions shown alongside each tool. They are a starting point, not a personalised veterinary prescription. Growth charts use an editorial size-based model, not observed breed data or clinical centiles; they must not set puppy portions. Activity ranges and grooming schedules are editorial planning examples derived from scores, not measured breed requirements. Adult-size ages are model inputs rather than exact biological deadlines. Cup estimates assume 100 g per cup, which varies by food. The 1–5 trait scores are editorial summaries of general tendencies; they are not measurements from a study or guarantees about an individual dog.
Our products
Links to Mambo bowls are commercial links to our own products. A bowl is not a treatment for a health condition. We keep product suggestions separate from advice about illness, and do not use a product sale as evidence for a medical claim.
Real stories and original research
We will label customer stories, interviews or analyses of Mambo order data only when we have the actual material, permission where needed, and a clear method. We do not yet claim that this library contains original veterinary research or customer interviews.
