How much exercise does a Toy Poodle need?
Daily exercise minutes, the activities a Toy Poodle enjoys and signs of too much or too little.
Most adults are content with 30 to 45 minutes of activity a day, divided between two walks and some play indoors. Mental effort counts as much as distance: a 10-minute session learning a new trick can leave a Toy Poodle more settled than an hour of aimless strolling.
Favorite activities include hallway fetch with a soft toy, snuffle mats, hide-and-seek with treats, and agility equipment scaled for toy dogs. Pacing, chewing and barking at small noises point to a dog that needs more to do. Lagging behind on walks or stiffness the next morning suggests you asked too much, which often happens when young dogs are taken on long hikes.
