How much exercise does a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog need?
Daily exercise minutes, the activities a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog enjoys and signs of too much or too little.
Two hours of activity a day is a realistic starting point for an adult, and many need more. The breed was designed to trot tirelessly over long distances, so long hikes, canicross once fully grown, tracking and mantrailing suit it well. Short laps of the block do not meet its needs.
Keep your dog on a lead or long line in open country, because prey drive is strong and recall around deer or livestock is rarely reliable. Heat is a limitation; exercise early and late in summer. An under-exercised wolfdog digs, chews, howls and tries to escape, and a secure fence of about 1.8 to 2 m (6 to 6.5 ft), with protection against digging underneath, is widely recommended.
