Czechoslovakian Wolfdog grooming: brushing, bathing and shedding
A practical grooming routine for the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog: coat care, baths, nails and ears.
Grooming is simple most of the year. A weekly brush with an undercoat rake or slicker keeps the coat in order, and the coat has little natural odor. Bathing is rarely needed.
The big event is the seasonal shed. The thick winter undercoat drops out over a few weeks in spring, and there is a lighter shed in autumn. Brush daily during those periods. Trim nails every 3 to 4 weeks if they are not worn down by walking, and check paws and ears after long hikes.
