How much exercise does a Goldendoodle need?
Daily exercise minutes, the activities a Goldendoodle enjoys and signs of too much or too little.
Standard Goldendoodles typically need 60 to 90 minutes of activity a day, while minis are happy with 45 to 60 minutes. Many love retrieving, swimming, hiking and playing with other dogs. Scent games and trick training add mental work that helps keep a clever dog settled.
Signs of too little activity include chewing, jumping on people, barking and frantic evening laps around the living room. Signs of too much, particularly in young dogs, include stiffness after rest or reluctance to finish a walk. After swimming, rinse off lake or sea water and dry the coat thoroughly, since damp hair mats quickly and wet ears are prone to trouble.
