How much exercise does an American Bully need?
Daily exercise minutes, the activities an American Bully enjoys and signs of too much or too little.
Most American Bullies need 45 to 60 minutes of activity daily, split between walks and play. Tug, flirt poles, fetch and scent games are favorites, and many adults enjoy obedience, rally or weight pulling. Dogs with a more moderate build usually have noticeably more stamina.
Heat and breathing are the limits for heavy, short-muzzled dogs. Exercise in the cooler parts of the day, watch for loud breathing, heavy panting or a wide, stretched tongue, and stop at the first sign of struggle. Collapse, gray or bluish gums, or noisy breathing that does not settle with rest are emergencies that need a vet immediately.
