Norwich Terrier health: what owners should know

Norwich Terriers are known for upper airway syndrome, in which narrowed airways affect breathing, along with kneecap problems, hip dysplasia and some heart and eye conditions. Many bitches also need a caesarean to deliver their litters.

Before choosing a puppy, ask whether the parents have had kneecap, hip, eye and heart checks, and how the breeder assesses airway health. Keeping your dog lean supports both breathing and joints.
