Norwich Terriers are clever, keen and very food-motivated, which makes them quick learners when training feels like a game. They can turn stubborn when something more interesting catches their attention, so short sessions and high-value rewards work best.

Recall is the biggest challenge, and many owners never trust their Norwich off lead in unfenced areas. House training may take a little longer than with larger breeds. Rather than trying to stamp out digging and chasing, give them an outlet through scent games, a digging pit or earthdog classes.
