How much exercise does a Toy Fox Terrier need?

Daily exercise minutes, the activities a Toy Fox Terrier enjoys and signs of too much or too little.

Despite their size, TFTs need about 30 to 45 minutes of activity a day, split between short walks, indoor play and training. They love fetch down a hallway, tug with a small toy, puzzle feeders and learning new tricks. Many are quick, precise agility dogs in the small-height classes.

Cold is the main limit. Below about 7°C (45°F) most TFTs need a coat, and wet winter days may call for indoor games instead of long walks. Restlessness and barking hint at too little activity, while lagging behind, shivering or wanting to be carried suggest it is time to head home.
