Anatolians grow big fast and mature slowly. A puppy may weigh 10 to 12 kg at 3 months and reach close to adult height by a year, but mental maturity and full muscle often don't arrive until 2 or even 3 years. Guardian behavior tends to strengthen between 12 and 24 months, so a friendly adolescent can become much more serious as it matures.
Feed a large-breed puppy diet in measured amounts to keep growth steady, and limit forced running, jumping and long walks on hard surfaces until your vet is happy with joint development. This is also the window for handling and socialization, since a 60 kg adult that won't allow a vet examination is a serious problem. Limping, reluctance to rise or swollen joints should be checked by a vet promptly.
