How much exercise does a Cockapoo need?

Daily exercise minutes, the activities a Cockapoo enjoys and signs of too much or too little.

Most adult Cockapoos need 45 to 60 minutes of activity a day, with larger, spaniel-heavy dogs needing more. They enjoy walks, fetch, swimming, scent games, and sports such as agility and hoopers, a low-impact course of hoops, barrels and tunnels. Brain games tire them as much as running does.

An under-exercised Cockapoo tends to bark, chew and race around the house in wild zoomies. Too much is less common but can appear as stiffness or reluctance to go out. Check the coat after walks for burrs, grass seeds and tangles, especially in the ears and feet, and dry the coat after swimming to prevent mats.
