Bulldog puppies grow quickly for the first six months, then slow down noticeably. Most reach adult height by about 12 months but keep filling out through the chest and shoulders until 18 to 24 months. A puppy weighing 10 to 12 kg at four months is typical, and adult weight usually lands at roughly double to two and a half times that figure.
Keep a growing Bulldog on the slim side of normal. Heavy puppies load developing hips, elbows and knees, and this breed already carries a lot of weight over short front legs. Limit stair climbing and jumping off furniture during the first year, and ask your vet to listen to breathing and check joint movement at each routine puppy visit.
