Puppies grow quickly and reach adult height by about 12 months, but they fill out and mature until around 18 months. Adolescents can be gangly and very energetic, with bursts of zoomies and spectacular jumps.
Resist the temptation to encourage those spectacular leaps while the skeleton is still developing, and hold off on jogging together until growth plates close around 12 to 14 months. Sniffy walks on grass, hide and seek in the garden and gentle flirt pole sessions build coordination without pounding the joints. A limp that lasts more than a day, or a puppy that yelps when a leg is handled, needs a vet check.
