How much exercise does a Maltipoo need?
Daily exercise minutes, the activities a Maltipoo enjoys and signs of too much or too little.
Most adults need about 30 to 45 minutes of activity a day, including short walks and play. They enjoy fetch, tug, trick training and puzzle toys. Many also enjoy agility or scent games.
Energy levels vary with the mix. Dogs with a Miniature Poodle parent often have noticeably more stamina and can happily manage a 5 km (3 mile) walk, while tiny Toy crosses may be done after 20 minutes. Short legs and a light body lose heat quickly, so a jumper helps below about 7 C (45 F). Constant barking, shadowing you from room to room and chewing cushions usually point to too little stimulation rather than a bad temperament.
