Pomsky feeding guide: how much and how often
Daily calories, portions by age and practical feeding tips for the Pomsky.
A 10 kg (22 lb) adult Pomsky typically eats about 120 to 170 g of dry food per day, around 1.3 to 1.8 cups, split into two meals. Actual needs depend on size and energy, which vary widely. Adjust portions based on body condition, not just weight charts.
The dense coat can hide weight gain. Feel for the ribs every couple of weeks: they should be easy to find under a light layer of fat. Some Pomskies are fussy eaters, while others gulp; a slow feeder or puzzle toy can help fast eaters and gives an intelligent dog something to work out.
A small to medium, stable bowl at floor level usually suits a Pomsky. Measure food rather than free feeding, as it makes weight easier to control and helps with house training.
