Pomsky grooming: brushing, bathing and shedding
A practical grooming routine for the Pomsky: coat care, baths, nails and ears.
Expect heavy shedding. Brush two or three times a week with a slicker brush and undercoat rake, and daily during seasonal sheds, when the undercoat comes out in large amounts. Pomskies with longer, fluffier coats may mat behind the ears and on the legs.
Baths every six to eight weeks are usually enough, followed by thorough drying. Do not shave the double coat, which helps regulate temperature. Brush the teeth several times a week, as small dogs often have dental issues, trim nails every three to four weeks and check the ears weekly.
