How fast a Tibetan Spaniel puppy grows, illustrative weight estimates and the limits of predicting adult size.
Tibetan Spaniels reach adult height at around 9 to 10 months and finish filling out by about a year. The coat takes much longer: the mane, trouser feathering and ear fringes keep developing until 2 to 3 years, especially in males. Females often carry less coat and may drop some of it after each season.
Growth is rarely problematic, but keep an eye on how your puppy moves. A puppy that skips on a hind leg, sits oddly or avoids jumping it used to manage should see the vet. Also note whether a puppy seems slow to grow or unsettled after meals, which is worth mentioning at the next checkup.
