Griffon puppies usually weigh around 1 kg at 8 weeks and reach their adult size by 9 to 12 months. They grow in small increments, so a weekly weigh-in on a kitchen scale is more useful than guessing. Adult weight varies a lot between lines, from under 3 kg to around 6 kg.
During the first year, watch the teeth and the knees. Toy breeds often keep baby teeth after adult teeth arrive, which can crowd the mouth, and your vet will check this around 6 to 7 months. Avoid encouraging jumps from high furniture. Tiny puppies can also drop blood sugar if they skip meals, so a puppy that becomes weak, wobbly or very sleepy needs a vet straight away.
